A Miniature Portrait Of A Recipient Of The Order Of The Holy Spirit, C.1760 United Republic of named to "Ludwig 4/224"A finely detailed, hand painted miniature portrait depicting a French recipient of the Order of the Holy Spirit, set within an oval gilded brass frame with an intact glass face. The portrait is in turn inset within a wooden frame that is decorated with multi piece mother of pearl tiles, and which features a copal border on the obverse bearing raised floral designs. The reverse retains an intact card stock liner bearing green clover designs, while the
