In silver, with name officially impressed along the rim J. Smitzer, Canadn Militia, on period ribbon with a Fort Detroit clasp, about very fine with rim nicks, several contact marks and bruises. (Appears on Medal Rolls as "Smilzer") Footnote: Private John Smitzer of the 3rd York Unit, Fort Detroit was named on the roll of Canadian Recipients of the Military General Service Medal.
