Iron rich limestone, reddish clay, and harder terrain produce a Pinot Noir with lush ripeness and voluptuous tannins that outpace Champans in richness. This wine shows Volnay's silk with unexpected depthrobed fruit, dark spice, a fuller body that still respects the appellation's elegant character.
