Brazil, Kingdom. An Order of the Rose, Reduced Knight in Gold, c.1860 Hold It begins with a Preface(Imperial Ordem da Rosa). Established in Brazil by Dom Pedro I on October 17, 1829. Of high quality manufacture, an impressive ball tipped enamelled white six pointed star in Gold, surrounded by beautifully executed enamelled green, white and pink Gold roses and laurels interlaced between arms, obverse centre featuring the cypher of Pedro and Amelia, surrounded by an enamelled blue border inscribed AMOR E FIDELIDAD, mirrored design with reverse centre
