Constructed of silver, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, the obverse with a leftward facing profile of Kaiser Wilhelm II in Imperial regalia, circumscribed by name and title in Latin, the reverse with an inscription of KRIEGER VERDIENST (WARRIOR MERIT), within a laurel wreath, unmarked, measuring 39. 55 mm in diameter, weighing 30. 3 grams, in better than very fine condition.
