overlaid by an insignia in the form of a German national eagle clutching a cogwheel bearing a red and white enameled HJ diamond

Germany, Heer. An Officer’s Tunic Breast Eagle Auction 900 silver standard marked on(Heer Brustadler). Constructed of a dark green wool backer, the obverse bearing a machine embroidered silver grey threaded Wehrmacht eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, with the feathering outlined in silver aluminum wire piping, unmarked, measuring 105 mm (w) x 43 mm (h), some mothing evident, otherwise in better than very fine condition.
