The obverse bears the portrait of Liberty encompassed by small stars and below bears the date 1901. The reverse bears an eagle with outstretched wings with a shield on its breast. It clutches a bundle of arrows and an olive branch. Above the eagle is a scrolling banner with the inscription IN GOD WE TRUST. The image is encompassed by the inscription UNITED STATES OF AMERICA
