Schafer-Frohlich, Riesling Stromberg GG, 2024 NoStockLimit Mas Peyre is a smallBockenauer Stromberg100% weathered volcanic porphyry, almost no soil, Tim Frhlich's most barren and steepest site (40 70% grade). Vines here range from 45 to over 100 years old; many are 80 90 years. This is extreme viticulture yielding concentrated, mineral Riesling. Wild yeast fermentation, hand harvested by necessity on these slopes. The volcanic character here is more intense than the Felsenberg; this is the purer expression of volcanic terroir.
