presumably because no picture of Hauser in uniform with the award exists as he received it so close to the end of the war

Constructed of zink, horizontal pinback, the obverse consisting of a red Tirol style eagle clutching a target overlaid by a swastika, flanked by a date of 1944, above an inscription of KK GEWEHR for KLEINKALIBER GEWEHR (SMALL CALIBRE RIFLE), the reverse maker marked CARL POELLATH, SCHROBENHAUSEN, measuring 40. 21 mm in diameter, in better than very fine condition.
