Instituted 13 September 1915 by King Wilhelm II. (1915 1918 issue). Constructed of bronze, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, consisting of a Cross Patte, the obverse with a central wreathed monogram of King Wilhelm II, the six oclock arm with a reinstitution date of 1915, the twelve oclock arm with a royal crown, the reverse plain, unmarked, measuring 43. 82 mm (w) x 48.
