An attractive matrix display specimen featuring a few blocky crystals of very pale blue-green Microcline (probably not dark enough for what I would call Amazonite) associated with starkly contrasting Smoky Quartz and highlighted by snow white Albite (var: Cleavelandite)

This piece dates back nearly 50 years and was originally in my father's collection in the early 1970s and remained with us until we recently decided to sell it

These historic and signature specimens are known worldwide for their excellent size form and color. The majority of the specimens were mined in the mid 1800s and, while you can see them in old important museum collections, along with some of the best private collections in the world, very little material is available on the market today.
