The image is of two love birds or canaries perching between ferny foliage and flowers is covered in waxy matte glazes. The only example I've seen this is a rare offering from the early Arts and Crafts movement. The tile measures 6" square and 3 4" thick. Impressed signature on the back and it remains in excellent condition.
