Burgundy Lacquer Altar Table From Shanxi - 19thC Chests The fish is a longstandingThis burgundy lacquer console table is from a Shanxi farmhouse and dates from the 19th century. It has five handy drawers and the lacquer on the table top has long since worn through revealing a rich elm wood grain. They were always long & narrow in form a configuration seldom found in antique European furniture. Woods used are Elm, Red Elm, Walnut & more rarely Cypress & Pear. Our pieces are mostly 19th century & early 20th century. From China 207 x
