Chenrezig, or Avalokitevara, is one of the most revered Buddhist deities in Nepal. Chenrezig is a bodhisattva, one with the highest level of enlightenment who remains on Earth to assist the everyday folk. Avalokitevara here is sitting hands together in namaskara mudra atop a lotus throne decorated with protective lions or dogs. This is an excellent
