this mine produces great Ferberite specimens
The piece truly looks better in person as Ferberite is a difficult species to accurately photograph
The good news is that I directly obtained this specimen from the miner who collected it
Sigloite and Metavauxite which was discovered along the Contacto and San Jose veins in this mine and was first described by Sam Gordon and Mark Bandy
It’s rare to find a pair of intergrown twins like this from Tasna
Vivianite butterfly twin this mine produces great FerberiteThis piece was collected in 2000, when Huanuni had a short, but prosperous boom of specimens. I personally obtained this piece at the mine on one of my first trips to Bolivia. I kept it as a memento of those early years visiting Bolivia, but its time for it to find a new home. A fairly sharp, GEM quality, highly lustrous, rich emerald green, crystal with a beautiful termination with minor golden Siderite and matrix. A great quality piece from Huanuni,
