Early JB Cole North Carolina Pottery Covered Storage Vessel Minton It is made from aEarly JB Cole Pottery covered storage vessel in a gunmetal black glaze c. 1920s. This transitional form straddles the utilitarian ware with the decorative art pottery to follow. The lug handled pot is rarely found with its lid. Measures 15" tall and about 7" wide. The condition of the base is very good with only a few flakes and and some drying cracks in the making. The lid has a quirky double walled construction and considerable chipping.
