Totems were found in two areas of Naga villages either side of the entrance to the village or inside the morung (mens dormitory). The panel is carved from a single piece of wood from the hollock tree (terminalia myriocarpa) also known as the East Indian almond tree. It has abstract depictions of skulls at its top.
