The bank still has the rubber stopper in the bottom. It is signed and dated, Lucasfilm LTD., 1983 on the bottom. The bank is in good condition, but has some sharpie staining on the face of the tambourine. This can likely be removed carefully, but I have left it as is to avoid damaging the item.
