1785 Watercolour The Surrey Theatre Southwark oldmaster Portrait of a Gentleman"A View of the Royal Circus near the Obelisk now in St Georges Fields Surry." Pen ink and watercolour drawing initialled and dated ESF 1785. Period ebonised fruitwood frame 10 by 9 inches overall. Showing what was then the newly built Surrey Theatre and the Obelisk at St George's Circus Southwark (The Obelisk built in 1771 by Robert Mylne just about survives to this day).
