Cassiterite Scorzalite showing a glossy vitreous lusterHere we have an interesting and rarely seen Cassiterite from Sakangyi, in the Mogok Township of Myanmar. I've only seen a few of these over the years, and this one is distinctive because it formed in a three dimensional cluster with attractive, sharp, lustrous, striated crystals that resemble pagodas or flying saucers or boats. They have a very high "wet" luster with beautiful overall crystal form. This specimen has the look of classic pegmatitic
