It is from Shekhawati in Rajasthan and would have been multifunctional, used for day to day dining and also for displaying leisure paraphernalia such as opium or writing equipment. It is made from roheda wood. Shekhawati bajots like this one commonly have lacquered beading and carvings, but this one offers a more simplistic design but with expertly
