This world
When I look at the red hillside I see the beautiful contrast of the flowers and sky
Flecks of iridescent gold leaf catch and reflect light and suggest sunlight catching shapes within the wheat field
I wanted to create a semi abstract work which reflected this light

Shine Bright - Large painting on two panels still life This worldShine Bright, oil, enamel and acrylic on canvas, 200 x 120 x 2 cm on two panels each measuring 100 x 120 x 2 cm I remember childhood thunderstorms. In the heat of summer the clouds would come. Golden yellow mustard fields would sway and ripple in the wind as the storm struck. I think back to those summer days. The yellow flowers shone, they never faded, they never bowed to the wind and rain. When life brings storm clouds I remember the mustard fields.
