Vriesea skotakii X DYCKCOHNIA The inflorescence is light pinkA fairly new and certainly very obscure species described in only 2011 from material collected by Chester Skotak in Panama. Found on Mt. Garagara at 600 meters in altitude. This species is related to V. glutinosa and splendens to which it bears little visible similarity. The plant is medium sized with arching leaves in a 24 inch rosette. The leaves are discolor, gray green on top and purple below and of a thick, leathery texture. The inflorescence is
