フェン・リの強さそのままに、本書も大きく分厚く重い１冊と仕上がっており、文字通り重量級の写真集である。

これらの写真は、現実の表層にある空虚さに似ている。ワンは、メタファーに富む作品制作よりも、光や色、影といったものに対して向かっていった。ある場面や瞬間では、ワンはストロボを使った撮影をし、その場面を彫刻的に作り上げたり、分析するようにしていった。また、彼は写真の中の世界を乱すように影を作り上げたのだ。（評：張君鋼）

チャン・ケチュン（Zhang Kechun）1980年中国四川省生まれ。2008年にthe National Geographic Picks Global Prize受賞。2012年に三影堂写真賞、2012年と2013年にSony World Photography Awards、2014年にはプthe Prix HSBC Pour la Photographieにノミネートされた。2014年にはArles Discovery Award を受賞しています。ー
