Flooded, Yet Knott Alone by Miriam Moyer Fire and RainIn the dark of night, families were faced with frantic and desperate situations as the water rose around them, overwhelming them. A train of thunderstorms had stacked over Knott County Kentucky and pounded the hills and valleys. The torrent of rain rushed off the hills to the streams, and the creek beds could not contain it. Homes and businesses were engulfed with floodwater and still the rain poured. In these pages you hear their cries.
