A study of survivors II Love plant like shapes and formsMudlarked gas canisters, Thames black sand, steel frame 28 x 35 x 4 cm This piece was made from rusted laughing gas canisters found at the Thames foreshore, set within a metal frame that I welded and rusted. The gathering and careful re ordering of fragmented, buried objects into a new context is a metaphor for the process of finding forgotten or buried parts of myself and transforming them through awareness into something whole and visible.
