The rough quartz has interesting cavities and is topped with grape like cluster formation of purple fluorite. The purple is semi translucent to opaque and has a platy appearance. Fluorite, also called fluorspar, is a calcium fluoride crystal with octahedral growth patterns. Fluorite comes in a variety of colors which include
