Aechmea laxiflora NO WHOLESALE Mexico by the late GuyA new form of this familiar and popular large species. Resembles Aechmea bracteata, with an upright bulbous based rosette of wide, large spined leaves. The inflorescence is tall, to several feet, with branches bearing berries that turn black when ripe. Unlike the typical form, this one is more colorful, with showy red scape bracts at each branch, all the way to the top of the inflorescence. Formerly known as Aechmea bracteata var. pacifica *VIPP
