Sacred Vessel of Shell In Paradisim Part of a series ofBethersden Marble 28 x 22 x 11cm 'Sacred Vessel of Shell is carved from a heavily fossilised piece of Kentish limestone. This simple and primitive figure form suggests a vessel which may have held some importance within a domestic ritual setting and is part of a series of carvings entitled the Excavation Series, which consists of museum style artefacts from a fictional archaeological dig.
