Crafted from the preserved foot of a spotted towhee, this piece captures the delicate yet striking details of the bird's claw. The unfortunate donor of this bird foot, a spotted towhee, flew into the freshly cleaned window of my studio a few years ago. Rather than let its demise become a total loss, I salvaged at least a small part of its being to be immortalized in bronze.
