Aechmea weilbachii f. viridisepala COLD HARDY Native to seaside cliffs andA handsome form of this variable Brazilian species. It has a somewhat stoloniferous habit, with narrow, bright green leaves in an upright rosette to 18 inches or so. The inflorescence is erect, with scape bracts more orange than red and with green sepals. Our plant is a descendant of the Topotype collected by Harry Luther, Benzing, Leme and Nahoum in 1993 near Mage, Rio de Janeiro as an epiphyte. SEL1993 0026
