Caol Ila 13y/o Islay Sponge No. 6 53%ABV 30ml Scotland A new addition to theDirty, meaty delicious Caol Ila. On the palate there is quite a heavy ashy note. This is a marriage of two casks and I imagine individually the casks were not that great the refill cask was probably dominated by this overpowering ashy note and the first fill sherry cask may have been a bit dirty and too sherry forward together each would soften the others overly intense notes to create a more balanced and enjoyable dram.
