Zamia standleyi spineless a Bahamian horticulturistA small species from Northern Honduras. One to three leaves are produced from a short trunk that may remain subterranean. The leaves are up to 3 feet long and about as wide with numerous leaflets which are slightly folded and spiny along the margins on a spiny petiole. New leaves may be red. Native to lowland and hilly seasonally dry forests. Local Indians use the tubers for rat poison. Note: C. I. T. E. S. No Export, sorry.
