Circle of Friends Lilac Breasted Roller Over 130 inches of wire"Circle of Friends" was painted for a chimpanzee sanctuary and I wanted to express the uniqueness of each individual. During a visit to Mahale National Park, deep in the remote pristine jungles of Tanzania, I observed the wild chimpanzees living in the mountain rain forest. Experiencing one of the most remote and untouched jungles on Earth and watching the wild chimpanzees interacting with each other was extraordinary. As a child, chimpanzees were my
